I like this, the opening/closing has a real beauty to it, the tone of the instruments in the middle seemed a little off but I get where you were going with it and I dig it.

The umph and faster pace of the drums was a somewhat unexpected direction, a pleasant surprise though

When the drums/bass come in I was absolutely happy with how it sounded. I feel I want to try to keep the clear/crisp and faster going forward (I'd call these a higher tempo Hip-Hop/RnB beat).

Your sounds are really well picked, and they stack quite well together. When the house beat dropped in at the 4 minute mark, my mind jumped to adding something choir/orchestral (almost E Nomine-ish) as a layer.
